Qualified Witness List

When documents are witnessed outside Australia they shall be deemed to be correctly executed if each signature is witnessed by a person not a party to the document and who is:

  1. a Notary Public
  2. an Australian Consular Officer
  3. an elected member of Parliament or other representative body at the equivalent of State or Federal Level
  4. a Judge or Magistrate
  5. qualified and entitled to practice Law
  6. qualified and entitled to practise as a Civil, Electrical or Mechanical engineer
  7. qualified as a School Teacher
  8. a University Lecturer
  9. the Mayor of a Town or City; or
  10. a person with Managerial responsibility in a Bank
  11. qualified and entitled to practice as a doctor of medicine
