Get Identified – A face to face ID Check is required for Property Transactions in Australia
Your identity check must be completed before settlement can be finalized by our office.
You can wait until your dealing is unconditional (ie. finance approved) before you complete this ID check – unless you are going away and will not be available during the course of settlement, for example.
If you are a seller, your identity documents must match your name/s on the Title Deed exactly. If you are a buyer, your identity documents must exactly match your name/s on the Offer and Acceptance contract. You are also required to have original documents and not copies.
There are three different ways to have your identification securely verified for the purpose of settlement. You are only required to complete one of the three options.

Identification Requirements:
Option 1 InfoTrackID
You can complete your Verification of Identity at a time convenient to you from wherever you are using your smartphone or tablet with InfoTrackID, our preferred Verification Method. No app or software required to be downloaded to complete.
Simply advise your Conveyancer that you wish to use the InfoTrackID and wait for your invitation to complete your VOI via SMS and/or email. Once received, click on the authorised link and follow the prompts to submit copies of your ID documents back to our office securely and in real time.
InfoTrackID charge $13.00 per person. This charge will be payable at settlement and added to your settlement statement.
InfoTrack complies with the ISO27001 Certification for storing data. All data at rest is secured using the industry certified AES256 encryption, all data in transit is secured end-to-end, using the industry certified TLSv1, TLSv1.1 and TLSv1.2 standards, and offers the highest level of protection possible.
Option 2 Australia Post
You have the option to have your ID check done at Australia Post.
Please contact your conveyancer to have the relevant Australia Post Identification forms sent through to you. You will require one form per person.
It is essential that each person attends Australia Post with the relevant forms together (AusPost VOI Form and Client Authorization Form) with identification documents as set out in the above six identification categories.
Please call 13 7678 for your nearest participating Australia Post Location. We understand only some Australia Post locations may be open on a Saturday.We are advised Australia Post currently charge $49.00 per person’s identity.
Option 3 Vicki Philipoff Settlements’ West Perth Office
We also offer our clients with free in-house verification of identity checks. You will be required to produce the ID documents to satisfy one of the above mentioned Australia Post categories.
An appointment must be made directly with your conveyancer to complete this verification.
